Would you ever write historicals?

June 21, 2017

I’ve always thought it would be fun. I love reading them. I’m daunted by the research, though. For now, I intend to stick with contemporary romantic suspense and paranormal romance.

I’ve found some references to things in the Obsidian Files books from the McCloud Universe! Did you do that on purpose?

June 21, 2017

Did you? Why, you lucky reader, you. Contact me, and I’ll give you a prize if you recognize any of the Easter eggs that I planted here and there. I love to think of my McCloud characters trundling happily along in their lives, working hard and raising their kids, having barbecues and birthday parties, arguing about who has to go to the parent-teacher conferences, proudly clapping at their kids’ violin recitals and school plays. You could run into one of them at the supermarket, stocking up on prime rib and Greek yogurt and watermelon and baguettes. I’m homesick for them, you see.

Are you ever going to do another straight suspense series?

June 21, 2017

Absolutely! I have two more series planned already, one a series of full length, scorchingly romantic single title thrillers, and another series of shorter books as well. And there are lots of tantalizing ideas floating around just out of reach, but I just don’t have time to lunge for them yet!

Do you ever mean to write about Danny, the third MacNamara sibling?

June 21, 2017

Danny was the middle brother, between Mac, from my novella Meltdown and little sister Robin, from my novella Anytime, Anywhere. I did mean to write Danny’s story, but I got sidetracked by the McClouds & Friends series, and now so much time has passed, I doubt I could get back to poor neglected Danny. But never say never!

What is the order of your novellas, and where can they be found?

June 21, 2017

My first two are stand-alones, and my last two are linked. (The hero of “Meltdown” is the brother of the heroine of “Anytime, Anywhere.” As I mentioned before, “Something Wild” can be found in All Through The Night.Touch Me” can be found in I Brake For Bad Boys. “Meltdown” is to be found in Bad Boys Next Exit.Anytime, Anywhere,” my only suspense novella, can be found in Baddest Bad Boys. The first three novellas have also been put into a single author anthology, entitled All About Men.

But what about Rachel and Misha?

May 17, 2017

Too young! Only thirteen years old! No way could I wait long enough for those two to grow up. I already pushed it to the limit giving Sveti her story, In For The Kill. Sveti was introduced in Extreme Danger at the age of thirteen, and she finally got her book, but I’m not doing that to myself again. It was an agonizing wait. I wish I could, though. Rachel and Misha are great, and deserve happiness and wild adventures of their own.

Are you going to write any more McCloud books?

May 17, 2017

Alas, the McCloud saga is definitely concluded. That series had gotten so long, it was toppling under its own weight, weighing in at eleven books. But I just loved that crowd. After all the time spent in their company, I feel as if they’re a part of my family. Certainly a part of my heart.

What made you decide to go more paranormal/sci fi with The Obsidian Files?

May 17, 2017

Is it paranormal/sci fi exactly? The Obsidian Files books are hard to categorize—futuristic? Urban fantasy? One thing is for sure, they’re super-sexy suspense. Things get very weird in the Obsidian Files books, but there are no magical plot elements. My protagonists are genetically enhanced and full of implants and electronic augmentations, but there’s nothing happening that’s outside the realm of the possible (except perhaps for the heroes’ sexual stamina, ahem.)

I got all my ideas from science articles on my newsfeed, and I’m talking about stuff that has been watered down for public consumption and is probably years out of date. God only knows what they’re really cooking up down there in the top secret labs. I’m a closet conspiracy theorist, you see, and fascinated with humankind’s quest to evolve in every sense, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. It all switches me on. Brain candy.

Are any of your novels available in audio?

May 17, 2017

Yes! The first five books in the McCloud series are in audio, from Tantor. I wish I could publish the rest of the series in audio, but I do not own all of the rights, so it’s not up to me. And I firmly plan on doing audio versions for my new series, as soon as I can organize it!

Why don’t you make movies out of your books?

May 17, 2017

There’s nothing I’d like better! If you know anyone in the movie business who wants to adapt a hot romantic thriller, toss my books their way! I’ll be forever grateful.
